Lefroy Resources Limited has established itself as a committed Tasmanian exploration company since listing in May 2004. The Company's exploration philosophy is simple: to target and develop high-grade gold ore bodies along strike and at depth from the historic workings at the Lefroy Goldfield.
During the past year, Lefroy Resources has successfully completed its second exploration field season, returning spectacular drill grades and significantly extending zones of mineralisation along strike and at depth. In addition, an initial JORC inferred resource of 274, 345 oz was established, on one of the many gold-bearing reefs that are known from the Lefroy Project Area. This initial resource represents the first significant new gold resource in Tasmania for 20 years. The Company's new combined global resource is now more than 280,000oz of gold. more
